What’s Your Price?

So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well. If I love you more, will you love me less? 2 Corinthians 12:15
Paul has no price that was too much to pay in service to God. He was willing to do whatever it took to not only preach the gospel but to live it among the people. Jesus Himself said He came to serve not to be served. Paul followed in the footsteps of Christ. When we look at sharing the gospel, it is perhaps easier to preach than to live. Anyone can get up and share words but we must also embrace and live those words. Being willing to do anything for another takes a special kind of love only possible for the saint who is completely sold out to Christ.
Are there stipulations you place on Christ’s call on your life? Some may only want to serve in a certain way. Some may only want to go to a particular people or place. But when Christ calls us it is first and foremost to Himself. When we come to Christ we do not come with a checklist or reservation; we come in full abandon to His Will. Our willingness to follow Him cannot be contingent upon where He will send us or what He will ask us to do. He gave Himself to the cross. How can we expect anything less for ourselves?
What contingencies have you put on following Christ?
How have you backed away from the Calling of Christ?
Do you have any reservations with following Christ?
What did you expect to hear from Christ? Does it match with His life and His Word?
