I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls… 2 CORINTHIANS 12:15
When we think about being used by God we are often more concerned with our being used than the needs of those around us. We want to be used the way we want to be used opposed to what is needed. Paul makes this comment saying that in any case, it didn’t matter how he was used or used up as long as souls were being saved.
For followers of Jesus the main concern is that the work of Christ in others is being accomplished, not what we want for them. God may bring us along to assist in the work He is doing and we mustn’t get caught up in how we are being used but rejoice that we are! The question each of us must ask is “are we willing to become anything to anyone for the cause of Christ”?
Are you willing to be used in anyway God sees fit?
What does it look like for you to be completely spent for the Kingdom?
