In a galaxy far, far…scratch that! That’s not how the movie started. And I guess I can be ok with that if we’re gonna say this “isn’t” Star Wars. But I get it. This isn’t the same thing as the Trilogy, or Prequels, or Sequels. It’s its own story and has its own opening and if you can take it as that, well, you’ll be just fine.

The movie as a whole, I feel was done well enough, even though I personally think more could have been done to advance the story and relationships. The characters and action was overall exciting and there was plenty of it throughout the entire movie. I did however, feel like there was a little lull in the middle of the movie that could have been cut or at least moved along a little faster. That aside, the movie was more enjoyable than I expected. I wouldn’t look to see it a second time especially since I have Disney+ and I can watch it there once it releases to the platform.

Would I encourage you to see it? Well, sure. If you’re a Star Wars fan and enjoy Sci-Fi, it’s a good family friendly movie with action and good story lines. Don’t expect to be blown away by the acting but if you don’t anything better to do in this galaxy, taking a trip with Mando and Grogu could be a good escape.
