“And why do you worry about clothes? Learn how the wildflowers of the field grow: they don’t labor or spin thread.”
Matthew 6:28 HCSB
The lily simply is. Arrayed in its beauty, we all enjoy the majesty of God. We delight in its uniqueness without its effort to be anything other than it is. It is simply being all God crested it to be. It does nothing more than “be”.
We must move from trying to be useful to simply being. As we do, God will use us even as we are. Don’t try to be useful simply be worshipful and God will use us without us knowing. God often uses us most when we know it least. Why? So that He will get the glory and we will be focused on Him. When our focus becomes being useful we move from worshipping Him to worshipping ourselves. When we simply “are” in His presence God uses us in ways we could never imagine. Each of us has a unique way of being and living, may we let that shape our worship. As we lift Him high our worries of what we look like, how we function, and what we contribute won’t matter. All that will matter is Jesus. Be worshipful and leave the usefulness to His discretion.
