Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country. Mark 16:12
Seeing Jesus will change the way you see everything else. Circumstances and people will never look the same once you see Jesus and begin to look through His eyes. Jesus has a certain way He looks at everything in our lives: how will it bring Him glory? As we draw closer to Christ we begin to see what He sees. Those who walk closely with Him cannot remain the same; not only do they see differently but they begin to look differently too.
Encounters with the Living God will always change you!
Many go through life being “saved” but never really seeing Christ at work in their lives. They may see what He’s done but not what He’s doing. They don’t see Him because their eyes are always fixed on something or someone else. We are to fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). Eliminating distractions and intentionally looking for Jesus is what the disciple must do. Christ has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore if we do not see Him it is because we are blinded by something in our lives.
Jesus is walking with us through this life. Even after His resurrection, He was walking and conversing with two of His disciples and they did not recognize Him. Mary, herself thought Jesus was the Gardner at first glance, upon her arrival at the tomb. When we pause for a moment and intentionally look and listen, we will see Him and realize that He was with us the whole time!
Have you seen Jesus lately?
How has your view of life and others changed because of seeing Him?
How have you mistaken Jesus?
