The reason God sent His son wasn’t just to bring me to Heaven but to bring me to Himself. When my focus becomes my personal holiness then I am focused on the wrong thing. It is God’s holiness that I should be focused on and when my focus is there God will change me.

Moses was brought before God and it was in God’s presence that his face was changed, simply from being face to face with God. When we spend time being consumed with God we will be transformed not by our efforts but by His presence. God is seeking after us and we must yield to Him.

God has given Christ for us to bring us into union with Himself. All we must do is come completely surrendered in full abandon to Him. He is the One who makes us holy, not we ourselves. Salvation through the death of Christ is what makes us holy not any work of our own. God’s Spirit within us is making us holy and the more we surrender to Him, the more Christ will be seen in us.
