‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. Acts 26:16
The main goal in life is not really to accomplish anything more than to know Christ. The task at hand is to be transformed through a relationship to a person, namely Jesus. Keeping Him at the forefront of all that we do will inevitably affect all that we do. The vision and mission is Christ in us and then us into the world.
Paul was overwhelmed by the vision of Christ, which caused him a physical blindness for a period of time. But even after he gained his sight back, his vision was always focused on Christ.
We must always keep Christ as the focus of our lives. We cannot lose sight of Him. We must have spiritual blinders on lest we lose focus or become distracted by lesser visions. Anything short of Christ being fully formed in us is a lesser vision.
What do you see? Have you been “blinded by a vision of Christ”?
How can you out on spiritual blinders in order to focus on Christ?
What do you see as your purpose and vision for life?
