There are many things and people we may turn to at any given time for guidance, advice, help, security and the list could go on…But of any of those things or people we would turn to, how many would actually be completely knowledgeable of our entire situation? Who else could we turn to for the salvation of our souls? Who else could we turn to who would love us completely as we are right where we are? Who else would be powerful enough, strong enough, loving enough? And yet still many look away from instead of looking to God. Are we being loyal to God?

It’s quite natural to look to others first for certain things. We tend to look to others for affirmations, encouragement, direction etc. We can even look to others for assistance with health, wealth and education. But have we looked to Him for the these things? God uses others to bring what we need many times. But then many become dependent on others or on something He has provided more than God. There is no other God. There is no other Helper. There is no other One who can and will give us all that we need besides our God. Let us look to Him first and may He alone be who we love and trust.
