A Walk Through The Slums In Vijayawada
Yesterday we went through some of the slums in Vijayawada. It reminded me of Nicaragua and Nigeria to some degree as you will see in the pics below. While we walked and took pics, we stopped and went into some homes, handed out candy bars to the kids and told people of the outdoor meeting for the evening.
We went through two areas. It was the second one where we had an impromptu performance of the Shark Song to promote the evening event. all the kids loved the song and we further promoted the crusade.
After coming back to the house, we had a meal, worked on various things like web design for the ministry here, discussion of other ministry needs and preparation for the evening service.
It was close to 8:15pm before we made it to the location, which was only a couple miles from the house. The streets…

Vijayawada Day 3 Update
It was certainly a busy day. We made our way to a store opening for a man who belongs to Pastor Ragendra’s church. He asked us to come and celebrate the grand opening of his new store, to bless it and share a few thoughts and then be part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony. It was a cool thing to do and to be invited to be part of. While there they gave us drinks and a nice spicy-sweet snack. I have to say my mouth was on fire, but I am a spice-wimp.
We then went shopping at the local “Walmart” to get some candy bars to give away at the schools. It was interesting to be inside a store like that, much like our Sam’s clubs/ Costco back home. While we waited for Pastor to check out, a guy asked for a photo of Brandon and I as we…

Vijayawada Day 2
Here are a few pics from the second day. We had a very busy time visiting around the city and taking in some sights and then the church service in the evening. Al, Brandon and myself all had elements in the service, consisting of preaching, signing, singing, and testimonies. It was a good day. We are still not 100%.
I got to share a song last night too. I ended up doing Take It All. The people loved it. We have a couple more chances to show them some songs and teach over the next couple days, so I really need to be rested well.
We didn’t get to bed util about 2am this morning and awoke a few hours afterward. So please pray for our bodies to adjust to the time here and for all the programming we have going on. It’s a very busy schedule today. Lots of…

India Mission Day 1
After 32 hours of travel, our team of three has finally arrived in Vijayawada, India. We will be here for 2 weeks serving Sion Assembly Church working with orphans, local village churches and encouraging the people of this community. Thank you for your prayers!
The pics taken from the roof are from the house where I am staying. On either side of the church and home are the “slums” of this area. This area is heavily Hindu. Please continue to pray for Sion Assembly Church and the ministry here as it reaches out to the people of this area with the love of Christ.

El Salvador: Final Update
Last Friday was Halloween and it was a busy day to say the least. We woke and drove over to the church and unloaded supplies for the Glow Night. Then I went to meet with the GAP students (15 students who are serving in El Salvador for a year). I had the privilege to share with on two occasions: once about mission work and the second concerning spiritual leadership. I was honored to be able to speak into their lives.
After the session, I was back over at the church for a practice for the evening to make sure all the songs for Glow were a go. Everyone did well and the decorations had come together well thanks to Trevor, La Iglesias interns, and the V2H ES WAVE team. We invested a couple hundred dollars into decorations and refreshments because we wanted this outreach event to go off well and…
