Thank you God for how you’ve provided for me daily. You’ve given me fresh air in my lungs day-by-day second-by-second. You’ve given me eyes to see wonderful things each day: some things have been new while most things have been the same…but that’s ok! You’ve given me ears to hear sounds I enjoy while there are still some things I dislike. Nonetheless, I can hear. You’ve given me taste to enjoy many different kinds of food and drink. You’ve given me a sense of touch and feeling that allows me to experience the world and people around me. My “daily bread” isn’t just what I eat but what you provide me each and every day. It’s what you give me that’s routine and “normal” or “ordinary” that I don’t often thank you for, yet you provide. So today I say “thank you” for your provisions and faithfulness.
Thank you for giving me my daily bread that sustains me in this life and allows me such much more. Thank you for your generosity in giving me things I don’t ask for and forgive me for taking so many things for granted and feeling entitled to some things. Thank you for being a good Father and making sure I have what I need and for all the things I get to enjoy. My daily bread is certainly sweet. In Jesus name, I give thanks! Amen.
