“In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary.”

Reading through the Bible today and here are a few thoughts.
God reserves the right to change our plans for His plan.
I’m sure Joseph and Mary has their dream wedding all planned out and then this announcement! Can you imagine the frantic feelings you’d have? And yet all of our plans are open to be changed by God. He sees things differently than we do and it’s important to remember the BIG PICTURE. God could be working something in and through our situation that makes little to no sense to us now but will make perfect sense in the end.
Just because God changes our plan doesn’t mean we had a “bad” plan…it just means He has something better than we could “conceive”.
Mary and Joesph didn’t do anything wrong…in fact their plans were being changed because they were doing everything right! It’s easy to feel like we are wrong when God changes our plans but perhaps God is interrupting your schedule because you’re right where He wants you?
The plan God chose for them made them very uncomfortable and left room for lots of questions. There are times when others may not understand what God is doing in and through your life. Simply remain faithful to the Lord.
Be encouraged today that if nothing goes according to your plan, God is still in control. There’s a bigger plan in place and it’s just up to us to walk through the next steps with Him.
