5 Things To Remember Today

God is still in control. Psalm 46:1

Looking around at all that is happening, it can be tempting to think God isn’t there or He’s somehow lost control. Don’t doubt: God is still in control. He’s not inept or weak at all! He isn’t sleeping nor abandoned us. He isn’t absent and He isn’t giving up on humanity. He sent His son to redeem humanity. He’s present though He isn’t seen and He’s certainly still in control even though He’s not exerting His dominance. Trust. Hope. Believe.

All we have comes from Him. 1 Corinthians 4:7

Regardless of how much or little we have, it is all a gift from God. From the breath in our lungs to the material possessions we obtain, God has generously blessed us with what we have. Give thanks. Give back. Give generously.

God is concerned more about your heart than your stuff. Matthew 9:13

Many times we can fall into thinking that God just wants our money or possessions, but He really just wants our hearts. If He has our hearts then He has our stuff too. When we cling to Him, we readily release everything else to His care. Love Him. Yield to Him.

God is worthy of our praise. Psalm 145:3

No doubt many are dealing with difficulty and hardship while others may be experiencing great success today. The point that God is worthy of our praise and worship should not be lost in either case. We can blame God for pain and we can lose God in success. Regardless of where you are in life, God is worthy of our worship and praise. Praise Him. Worship Him.

Make the most of what you have. Ephesians 5:15-16

Whether it’s taking advantage of an opportunity or simply soaking in the life God has given. Everything is fleeting, vansishing like a shadow in the dark. Don’t get lost in the past. Embrace today’s blessings and grace. Live. Love. Don’t waste a moment!
