“for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.””

Many times God is waiting on us. We become distracted or lazy and feel the need for a greater motivation. The motivation may never come. We don’t need motivation but discipline. Feelings and desires are unreliable but choices must remain the same. We cannot wait until we feel like moving or doing; we simply must get up and get going. God has already given us enough “commands” and “plans” for us to follow through with our daily lives. We just must do them, whether or not we feel like it. Feelings come after we act in faith and see God moving though our faithfulness to get up and go in obedience.
Inspiration sometimes requires perspiration. Dreams take work, hard work to fulfill. God has a dream and goal for each of us. The inspiration we seek is not always found in a feeling or fun but comes as we act in faith. The more we obey, the greater the sense of fulfillment and joy. Do not seek inspiration but seek to obey what God has spoken and then the inspiration will come. Everyone has a unique way to live out God’s plan so get up and get going.
How have you gotten distracted or lazy?
What disciplines do you need to work on?
What has been a source of inspiration for you?
What area of life do you need to focus on to achieve God’s call for your life?
What’s one way you can be faithful in this week?
