“”They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.”
Exodus 25:10 ESV
All of Exodus 25 and 26 contain explicit directions on how Moses was to construct the ark and tabernacle. The details are incredible to consider as God outlined exactly how He wanted it to look and function. God told him what to use, how to build it and how to set it up. God knew what He wanted and Moses was to make sure it turned out that way.
It may seem tedious to read through all the instructions given but what I am most encouraged by when reading is that God is a God of detail. Giving Moses the exact kind of wood to use, down to how the curtains should be made and of what colors etc. demonstrates to me that God is a God of detail.
This means that God is not only aware of what He wants but of the details of my life. He has an exact plan detailed for my life. Nothing is a surprise to Him. He is constructing my life and building my life the way He wants. My job is to simply follow His instructions to the “t”. When I choose to let God construct my life not only does it turn out to much more beautiful than I could imagine but I also get to enjoy it as well.
What instructions is God giving you about the next phase of building in your own life?
Are you trying to build something He hasn’t approved?
Are you paying attention to the details of your life?
Are you trusting the details to God?
