Paraphrase:
The first thing to take care of is seeking after God’s kingdom. That’s the first priority in everything. Then as you are doing that you will see other things will be added to you.
Premise:
Seeking God’s kingdom is our first and ultimate goal. When we put God first in our lives, everything else falls into place. God blesses us with all we need when we put His kingdom work above ourselves. The kingdom is bigger than ourselves but God uses each of us to build it.
Promise:
When we seek God First He takes care of everything else.
Principle:
Seek God’s kingdom and then other things will come to you.
God’s kingdom is the first priority in everything.
Make decisions based on God’s global plan and for His kingdom.
Practice:
Pay more attention to the bigger picture of God’s work.
Trust God in al my decisions and believe that He will keep His promise to supply my needs.
Seek God’s ways and will in everything.
Ponder:
What does God’s kingdom look like? What are the values of the Kingdom?
Is God’s Kingom and His Church the same?
How do I seek God’s kingdom daily?
In what ways have I seen God add things because I sought His kingdom first?
Prayer:
Dear Lord, your kingdom is vast and your ways are higher than mine. Help me to keep a global picture of what you are doing. Give me a big picture view of your work and kingdom that I may seek the things that build your kingdom first. Then Lord, add unto me everything that I need for this life. Thank you for your promise to meet all my needs in Christ.
