…casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God…
2 CORINTHIANS 10:5
My human nature is what must be transformed into a spiritual nature. There are things in my human nature that will rise up against the knowledge of God that I must determedly make a choice to “cast down”. These thoughts, arguments, ideas, etc. are not to be compromised with but decidedly put away. The challenge is to do what I know is right. Obedience is the key choice to unlocking spiritual confusion. When my spiritual nature is taken captive by thoughts that rise up against me or God, it is imperative that I make obedience to God my priority and not my comfort. Prayer is a battle zone at times and not always comfortable but it is a powerful weapon of warfare along with the scriptures (Ephesians 6:17-18).
Even though I am already made Holy in God’s sight the point is that I become holy in the sight of man. This is done through the moral choices I make in my everyday living. I am to live out what God is working within. The choices I make reveal where I am in the process of becoming more like Christ. God’s goal for me in this life is to prepare me to meet Christ face to face and for us to look the same.
