Read Isaiah 6:1-8 one more time. After reading, close your eyes and try to imagine the scene being played out in your mind.
What does the temple look like?
How violently are the doorposts shaking?
How thick is the fog?
Imagine the burning hot live coal off the fire, in the tongs before it touches Isaiah’s lips. Imagine his expression as it touches his lips.
How broken is his voice as he confesses his sin and the sin of the people?
How attentively is he listening to the Lord? How loudly is God speaking?
How many “shifts” or “acts” do you see this passage containing?
Which “shift” are you currently in personally?
Is God asking you to shift something or to somewhere?
