Miami Recap

Last week we had an incredible time in Miami, performing and sharing the gospel in two schools. This trip had us in Christ Fellowship Academy and Cutler Ridge Christian Academy. I’ve been honored to be in Miami working in many Christian schools through the years and it is always a blessing to be able to lead music and share a message with the students and staff.

We started in Christ Fellowship and were there each morning for a performance and chapel at 8:30am. Each day we did some songs like The Lawnmower Dance or Superhero (Favorites of the students) along with a few newer songs for us like My God is so Big and Cornerstone. I chose those songs in particular because their theme for the year is God Is My Rock.

Being that they had a theme, I crafted my messages around that theme using an acronym for R.O.C.K.= Refuge, Omni, Christ, King. On the final day we celebrated the God who is our ROCK with all the songs we had been doing and throwing in a couple of others as well: Monster (Which they all love) and That’s My King to go along with the theme. It was a great week!! We saw God move on hearts in a tremendous way. This year there were at least 50 kids who professed Christ during the chapels!!

The second school, CRCA (Cutler Ridge Christian Academy) was Tuesday-Thursday at 10:30am each day and on Thursday we added another chapel at 11:30am for the middle school. The kids at this school were hyped as well and very receptive to the music and the messages. God spoke to their hearts in an awesome way too with several making professions for Christ and many recommitting to the Lord!

There were a few other highlights like attending the men’s book study at New Beginnings Church and then later that week having lunch with the pastor from NB, Jordan Cauldwell. Jordan and I go way back and Ariel was a member of his church before relocating to GA. We also got to catch up with another good friend, Jose. It’s always nice to be able to connect guys like these to share what God is doing in our lives and to celebrate Him!

Thanks to everyone who prayed for us. It was truly a great and rewarding trip. Please keep all these kids in your prayers as many of them start a new journey with Jesus!
